The flex paint isn't there to stop cracking when it flexes over time it's only there to stop cracking while the paint is curing so they can install it without cracking it. If it didn't have those cracks the day you picked it up, they showed up because of some other improper prep/painting reason, not the lack of flex paint. Common misconception about it but they still screwed up nonetheless it seems. Good luck.
